I saw a segment this morning on the today show that infuriated me!! It was a special needs 14 year old girl who was being bullied by her teacher & the teacher's aide. It is not acceptable, but understandable that it might be another child picking on a child. But seriously 2 adults & picking at a special needs child??? This really hits home with me as many of you know I too have a special needs child. The little girl liked going to school & then suddenly started hurting herself so she didn't have to go. This set of warning bells & the parents began questioning her. She told them that it was her teacher who was doing this to her & they reported it to the school & the superintendent. The school system insisted that it was the girl who was lying & threatened legal action against this family if they didn't stop making accusations. The dad put a recorder on his daughter so they could prove that she was in fact telling the truth. What they didn't bargain for was all the ugly things these "adults" were saying to her. Since then the family has been awarded $300,000 in damages & the aide resigned... Not fired but resigned... The teacher was put on leave without pay for the remainder of the year. In my opinion that is the biggest garbage ever!!!!! The teacher & her aide should've both been fired immediately after that tape was presented. It is so sad to know that we as parents send our children to school to get an education & this is what is happening. I'm sure they thought given the situation they would never be found out. Well others may not have known that they were terrorizing that little girl, but God sees all & I hope they get what's coming to them. I know we as Christians are supposed to pray & forgive, but in situations such as this I just can't. And when they asked the girl how she felt when they did this to her she said sad & the dad was all choked up I choked up right along with him. I was in fact so upset I thought about looking theses idiots up on Facebook & sending them a hateful message, but then I'd be spewing ignorance just as they did. So that leads me to my final thought...be careful how you treat others because someone is always watching & maybe you will set a good example. Maybe just maybe you will influence someone else to be nice.

Well actually one of those weeks? This has been my week... I've been questioning the kids as to what they want for birthday & Christmas. Both girls have birthdays this month & a week apart. The oldest doesn't want much... Just money to get a tattoo. Nothing against tattoos as several family members have them, but I dont think going out & getting one the day you turn 18 is the smartest decision, but what do I know? I'm just a dumb parent who hasn't experienced anything like she has. Of course, the youngest wants a "reborn" baby with rooted hair? Wth??? So I research this & find them on eBay... Only $200 & up...rooted hair will cost you extra. So then I start with the Christmas list... iPads. The hubby & I were resigned to go ahead & take care of those...then the oldest spouts out if I get an iPad I'll be pissed! What kid says that??? I'm thinking the logic is if she gets an iPod touch instead that will mean more gifts under the tree. Now onto the hubby... Friday afternoon we were heading to greenback for a ball game. He had to leave work a little early & specified the time he was leaving. I figured I'd have enough time to get the kiddo, get her to the grandparent & get gas. As I passed him in town 30 minutes earlier than he said I knew pandemonium was about to ensue...20 minutes later & several unanswered calls to my phone caused a HUGE blowup. I said words I didn't realize we're even in my vocabulary & I heard several that I knew were in his that I hate! Needless to say our peaceful car ride was turned into a war zone! Good thing I'm never without my iPod & headphones... I carry them for such occasions. Charlie Brown lulled me to sleep until I had to potty. I wasn't about to ask for a potty break though! No since in breaking the silence at this point. I was rather enjoying it. Luckily Burger King was calling his name. After having whoppers we decided it was time to apologize & everything was back to normal or normal as we know it. So I'm thinking this desperate housemom career is really sucking! At this point I'm thinking a day & night shift job is looking pretty good... Oh wait that's exactly what I have now!!! Oh well, I'll never quit this job because no matter how much they drive me CRAZY... They're all mine & I love them. So how was your week?

Was thinking back to the time when in high school you sometimes went commando & didn't wear undies. Several of us did this often & to be perfectly honest I'm not sure why? Especially in my case when I had an incident where I'd lent my white guess to jeans to a friend & when she returned then I noticed nothing wrong with them.... I wore them to school a few days later & since they were white decided to go commando instead of digging for the beige undies that were usually in the bottom of my drawer. I can still remember plain as day sitting in class & hearing one of my friends proclaim my "muff" was showing. I remember looking down & seeing that the zipper in my beloved jeans was busted & this kids was before waxing or the brazilian. So had to make a quick trip home to fix that situation. Then there was the time when we were practicing for graduation & I think the whole senior class was in the band room that day.... I had on a cute lil skirt & was prancing around waving like a crazed politician(who knows) & I felt a nice breeze come upon me.... I heard tons of yelling & laughing going on & thought man I'm really cracking this bunch up! Much to my surprise my skirt was pulled up around my stomach & this time I at least had a thong on. Now mind you it was small but at least this time my "muff" was covered. Can't say the same for my booty though. Seriously about choked the life out of the girl that did that one. Being "pantsed" was big back then & she didn't realize how little I had on. Of course, you think I would have learned from those 2 incidents but not me! That summer I had been to a friends to spend the night & woke up in a hurry to get home & shower to get ready for work. I jumped up threw on my sweats & took off in a mad dash. Again no undies or a bra... Daring I know! It was warm so I had the windows down. Mistake number 1... I hate bugs & a green fly happened to fly in my window. Me being the skilled driver I was I thought I could keep the car on the road & turn all the way to the backseat & kill the sob... Mistake number 2,I guess I forgot I really wasn't that great of a driver. I almost had him when I turned back to the front to see how I was looking on the road & realized I was like Laura Ingalls bobbing along in her wagon on the rough terrain except I wasn't Laura & I was in a cavalier going down a huge embankment! Did I mention I had just found out I was pregnant? So once the wagon i mean cavalier came to a stop, I jumped out of the car, climbed up the embankment to have a lil old woman stop & pick me up to take me to get help. She would not let me ride in the front with her though. Guess I looked like I might have robbed her of all her peppermints. So I was transported later by ambulance to the hospital where upon arrival I had a male nurse waiting to check me out... I wasn't very far along with tay yet & they wanted to do an ultrasound to check. My mind was wandering in fear worrying for the baby but also because again I had failed to wear undies. The male nurse informed me he was going to have to pull down my sweats & undies to do an ultrasound....when I informed him he wouldn't be doing that to me as I had none on & didn't think it was a good idea he assured me he'd seen it all before. I politely assured him he may had seen it all before but he hadn't nor would he ever see mine. Finally I decided it was probably in the baby's best interest to have the ultrasound & of course almost 18 years later she's fine. So the moral of this story kids is always keep your muff covered with clean or at this point even dirty undies:)
The other day at the mall I noticed a huge trend that I generally try to ignore.... Saggy baggy britches! Now boys & men back in my day & that was only in the late 80's & early 90's we girls like to admire a good booty! You didn't have to wear your pants so tight that we could see your moose knuckle but you could let us guess boxers or briefs. Now there is no guessing involved. I know what you're wearing, who they're by, & sometimes the inner workings of your crack.... Gross! How can I tell what your booty looks like when you've got your britches pulled down to your knees & your boxers are all bunched up? So anyways just my thought for the day...
pull up your britches PLEASE!
pull up your britches PLEASE!

Well Halloween has come & gone. Thank the Good stars above as I HATE Halloween! This year I decided I didn't want to give out candy & Gracie has never been one of those kids who likes to dress up & walk around the neighborhood looking for candy. Now her sister on the other hand i had to beg to go home since she had gathered enough candy to start her own aisle at walmart! So this year I refused to buy candy & even went as far to put duct tape on my doorbell so no little ones could lay down on it & torture my poor Ella! The hubby wasn't thrilled at the idea of being halloween scrooges & stopped to buy a few bags just in case I changed my mind. Of course when he stopped did they have Halloween candy...no it was Christmas candy, but that's a whole different blog. So anyways I looked out the window at all the little monsters (no pun intended) & decided to give in & give out our Halloween/Christmas candy. I walked over to the neighbors house to sit with them & give out candy. I was half way enjoying myself when I saw a sight that literally made me think WTH!!!??? Now it's not unusual to see a trick or treater walk up to the door & have to put their cigarette out (usually in my yard) or the family with several kids & a 2 week old baby that needs one of those chocolate snickers with nuts to chew on, but this year I was floored to see 2 women at least in their 60s carrying a grocery sack asking for candy! I completely understand if these ladies had a disability... as most of you know I myself have a special baby, but these ladies just wanted some candy & I guess it was easier to walk around the subdivision & collect candy than go to the store & buy it. Did I mention I didn't see any kids with these ladies? After this year I've now seen it all! Of course I felt that way many years ago when my mom made me dress up as a clown(which I hate by the way)when I was in the 6th grade & trick or treat at the only grocery store in town at the time. I thought that time of humiliation in my life or last years smoking trick or treater couldn't be beat... But now I can't wait to see what next years Halloween holds? Do any of you have any interesting Halloween tales to tell?
Hello, I decided to enter the world of blogging since I've been told I have a way with words or maybe it was I speak way too many words! Anyways I have tons of things to say, but being a desperate housemom I'm stuck at home by myself all day with the exception of Ella my adorable yorkie & the tv. Usually don't get much response from them so blogging was my answer. I'm a stay at home mom with an aesthetician license & no kids to stay home with! I have 2 beautiful girls who always keep our house interesting to say the least & the hubby who also keeps me on my toes with the few words he speaks. I also have the cutest yorkie in the whole world! Many of you have heard my stories since I post lots of "Gracie" stories on Facebook, but I maybe inclined to revisit some of the old ones just to amuse myself. I'm by no means a writer & will share in my blog just as I would if I were talking with you. You never know what I may talk about bc generally if it enters into my brain it comes out of my mouth unfortunately! Well enough of my introduction. Leave me a comment & share something about you! Love new & old friends!
